A light lunch is served before you depart on your afternoon safari or adventure, guided game drives in the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park can be arranged with pick-up at the Memorial Gate. Dinners are a la carte, with a set starter and a choice of main dishes with a local flavour, ranging from fish and poultry to a variety of delicious meats including our speciality, venison. Vegetarians and guests with special dietary requirements can specify their needs on or prior to arrival. Dinners are served under the stars in our outside Boma area when weather conditions permit, or on the main lodge terrace, the cosy dining room is the obvious indoor alternative if 'al fresco' (our favourite choice) is not an option. Activities from Hluhluwe River Lodge
Guests at Hluhluwe River Lodge, booked on the fully inclusive package rate, have one guided game drive per day included in that tariff, this to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park. These guided game drives are conducted by independent Tour Operators and not by Hluhluwe River Lodge, who merely facilitates them. Guests will be obliged to drive to the start point of the drive, this can vary, but most likely from the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park’s Memorial entrance gate. This excursion is non-refundable and may not be changed for any other activity. Game drives are also available to guests booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, at an additional cost.
